I have been competing in weightlifting for 5 years and coaching for 4. My previous athletic pursuits include Track & Field, Lacrosse, and Football. As my Track career came to a close I transitioned to weightlifting, having somewhat of a background in the lifts through team strength & conditioning. I’ve been fortunate enough to lift and coach at several different gyms, developing a melting pot of knowledge in both coaching and competing.
I grew up in a family of gym rats, sneaking down to my Grandpa’s basement gym to lift weights when I was as young as 6 years old. Having strong figures such as my mother, who has never compromised on prioritizing her fitness, showed me that the barbell is my best friend and best teacher. My goal as a coach is to spread the knowledge and lessons that the barbell brings to people from all walks of life.
My favorite part of coaching is making the gym the best part of someone's day. Having an enjoyable exercise regimen has the power to completely change lives, and I've been fortunate enough to facilitate that with many of my clients. Everyone deserves a happy place. I think for a lot of people, that place is the gym.
